*raises hand*
I prefer collared, button down blouses. And I'll generally wear them 2-3 times before washing them, but usually I wear a ratty T-shirt or something under them to protect the spaces between the buttons.

They are like underwear. They are worn next to your body. They pick up your body odor. They are on your arm pits. All adults have a body odor even if they shower daily.
People can smell you even if you can't smell yourself.

I wear a tshirt with either long or short sleeves under my top, even a blouse.

I usually sleep in a tee shirt and pj bottoms. The top is changed nightly, the bottoms about 3 times a week.
Underwear and tops are changed daily. Skirts can be worn a a couple of times or so, unless I spill. I spill a lot. Sweaters and jackets worn over another top, ditto.

Pjs for me used to be changed every couple days but with baby and kids constantly on me it's more often every night now (and sometimes even twice a night when it gets wet )
Pjs for baby every night now that he walks with it before bedtime.

Shirts: every day (I don't usually wear "shells," but when I do, I change those after one wearing too -- they are shirts!).
Skirts/pants: 2 wearings.
PJs: every 2-3 days is sufficient. If I am doing anything particularly active in bed, the PJs come off...

WOW!!
I never knew some changed skirts or pjs after two wearings. Absolutely foreign. Same for kids clothes (not talking underwear).

I wash all my clothes (including shells) after one wash. This is because my clothes smell after one wearing despite showers!
My exception is during niddah. When niddah, I will often not wash what I wear until Mikvah night. It's a conscious protest because I hate niddah... During non-niddah I don't wear PJs or anything else so this is not an issue. Just to confuse things this month I have been wearing a long-sleeved shell in bed which I haven't washed but obviously won't wear it during the day until I wash it!
If there are mothers on here who can wear clothes more than once good for you and lucky you have less washing to do!

How often do kids wear clothing that stays outwardly clean after a day?

Depends on age. But even my son doesn't quite look dirty every day after school.

People have no clue. If you look clean and respectable they assume you're mega clean. I've had people assume I constantly wash my kids, or sniffing them "mmmmm you just bathed the baby". Huh, no.
I also know some people's rythm of bathing or washing clothes etc and you would never guess. And I have a good smelling sense, could have worked in perfume industry.

Seems im the only one that has a body odor because I need to change and wash everything daily.
cant imagine wearing a shell twice.
I dont wear pajamas but my linen is not fitted to my body and I shower every night so once a week for linen.

Huh? Whats that?
You're really dating yourself!
Took quite a while for my teenagers to convince me to start wearing shells.
