I am, and bcz. this is an anonymous forum I'll tell you one of my big incentives: I can break my fast on all the foods I can't eat on my diet. Since I started my new diet, oops, way of life, I look forward to fasts so I can load up on carbs!!!

Yes I am fasting and yes I am nursing my 15 month old. I will try to lay down most of the day. If I need to break it I will but I usually do well bH

Mazal tov!
Nope, I'm not fasting. I'm pregnant.
Since I got married 2 years ago I fasted a total of 4 fasts out of 12.
(Or maybe 5, on Yom Kippur I had to drink a little bit - with a rav and drs instructions - due to pregnancy complications. Idk if that can count as a fast, I was just as sick as everyone else by the end )
Good luck to all those fasting!

Same here, I put 'no, other' for that. I'm not sick because I'm not fasting, but if I were fasting, I'd be horribly sick. Even for a short fast...

Well I'm nursing so thought I wouldn't be fasting. Had breakfast, then DH called said I according to his rav I should be fasting, so I fasted the rest. To be honest, 9am to 5pm is hardly a fast so it was pretty easy.

Im home with all my kids today, and making a big seuda for my aunts shloshim tonite so I really couldn't afford to be sick .

Yes, of course. The KBH gave me little in the way of physical strength but I'm a reasonably good faster. I get hungry, who doesn't, but seldom suffer other physical symptoms like headache or faintness. If it had been a workday I'd have had breakfast because the fast here started about 5.20 and I get up before 5.00 every day anyway. Although I'm really better off not having breakfast on a fast day because then I get hungrier much sooner. Ironic but true. My body, having been fed, expects to be fed per its usual schedule. If I don't have breakfast, my body apparently "knows" it's not getting fed & doesn't make demands till a lot later.
The fact that it's January 1 and many, many people start reducing diets on January 1 is just a happy coincidence.

No, because I am hypoglycemic, pregnant and nursing. I think we need a multiple choices option, lol.
