My 2 yr old daughter is about to have her first sibling B"eH. Any ideas of what would be a nice thing to get her? I was thinking of a baby doll that she can take care of. Any suggestions of specific ones out there that come with a bottle, diapers, etc? She really doesn't have a lot of toys so I'm open to ideas. Thanks!

we got my daughter a baby doll with the melissa & doug accesory bundle (diaper bag w/diapers, bottles, etc) before the birth of her new baby sibling and she LOVES it. She loves taking care of her own baby with all the accessories. we already had a doll stroller, but that can be something fun too (if you live near an amazing savings they usually have them for around $7-10).
Be-sha'ah tova!

My daughter abandonned her dolls from the day she had a sibling. It may be the case also by you, that she'll want to play, change, dress the baby instead, so maybe don't invest too much money in a whole package.

A family friend bought me a stuffed rabbit when my brother was born (I was 20 mos.). I loved the rabbit, named him and played w/ him for yrs. (Still have him at my parents house.) I wasn't so into dolls as a girl, but I would nurse my rabbit from my belly button (don't remember this so well, think this is what my mother told me) and treated him like he was my baby or a grown-up depending on which imaginary game I was playing. I slept w/ him every night for awhile. (Even when I was pretty old, I went through stages where only the rabbit could help w/ my insomnia.
