PLEASE -- Are ANY Perfumes okay for Pesach this year? I only see solid and pencil perfumes on Blumenkrantz. They can't be used on yomtov. Is he much more machmir than his father?

Can't you go a week without perfume?

When I was younger, yes. Sometimes as we get older, we need it more. Physically, not mentally. I'm not a beauty queen and I don't need other cosmetics.

Thanks, Rabbi Any way you can tell us more while protecting your amother status?
Personally, I've heard that all makeup besides lipstick is OK, and among approved lipsticks is Outlast, so I'm good. (Again, CYLOR; I don't remember for sure which kashrus agency says this - CRC, Chicago? They'd be a good source for perfume info too.) I'm surprised about perfume beccause I haven't heard it in years past.

My rabbi said any product that you are not eating does not need to be kosher for pesach. He said just to get a new lipstick.

Not everyone holds this way. Some say that since Chametz is Assur B'Hana'ah - forbidden for pleasure, then if a product has Chametz in it we cannot benefit from it on Pesach.
