Next year I will be teaching a 1st grade girls class, english curriculum. I am playing around with the actual reward.

1) Buttons

I love little buttons

a few questions:

1) is it safe or I should assume they're too young for that??
2) In my mind I would love to do something like a girl scout sash where they have a ribbon in the classroom. However, that stays in school and I would love for them to take it home. any ideas?

2) Stickers

I would get a sticker book (memo pad type thing) for each student, have their name written nicely on the cover, and they can choose from a box of stickers and they put them in their books.

I would also have special stickers to give out when necessary (birthday, student of the week, etc)

3) Toy chest

Have a toy chest like the dentist where you can choose from a choice of chatchkys/junk.

4) Erasers

Get the detailed erasers and they can choose one they like
