I am very un-creative this week. The rest of the menu I have decided on, just the dessert not. So - what are you ladies making? Or what is your besssstest dessert?
Thank you in advance!

Applesauce (with other fruits too). MIL is on a low-sugar diet so this works well.

Summer fruit bake, in this case plums.
It's not my fanciest dessert but it's really easy and DD is coming home from the army and I want to indulge her. She likes it so much that she asks for it year round. Theoretically I could make it with apples in the fall and winter but it's really best with summer stone fruit and I have plenty of other recipes that work better with apples.

Fruity Pareve Ice Cream -
Frozen fruit blended with coconut milk, add sugar if you need it (we don't), a splash of oil, blend well, freeze.
I read that cornstarch helps make 'ice cream' more creamy, so I'm going to try that next time.

We make a pareve pudding from scratch using a very good recipe. You can use any kind of pareve milk. We like to mix coconut milk and rice milk (and no sugar).
Since it calls for cornstarch and egg, it thickens right up. Good warm or cold.

Do you think I can blend with an immersion blender? Do you need to whip up the milk first?

My family's favorite dessert is a sundae:
Make Duncan Hines double fudge cake for the base cut into cubes on top of that goes tofutti ice cream (best parve), chocolate ganache (I make the recipe from leah schapiras cookbook) and on top of that goes diced strawberries. BEST.DESSERT.EVER

It was so easy to make!
Threw it in a graham cracker crust and when cold put whipped cream/sprinkles on top.
It looks great.
Thanks chani8!

Just to clarify.... because this looks like something I'd want to try.... are you saying that you use parve milk without added sugar or that you skip over sugar as an ingredient in the pudding? If it still tastes good leaving out the sugar then I'm very interested in this.
