I'm baking a cake and put in baking soda instead of baking powder. What should I do now? Should I add baking powder as well? What do you say?

Baked goods made with baking soda also include can acidic ingredient such as buttermilk. Does your recipe call for any acids? Can you add an acid ingredient? If not, your cake may have a slightly "soapy" taste.

I think I'd try adding some cream of tartar to neutralize the extra baking soda.

leave it ... baking powder is baking soda with a little corn starch - too much will make it too salty

I don't know what the OP should have done, but baking powder contains more than baking soda and starch.
