I have a friend of 4 years living abroad.
We got to know each other online, kicked off amazingly well right from the start and it was a great relationship for both of us until 6 mth ago...

We have had a strained relationship this year, and that's why I feel it would be appropriate to send MM.

I just don't know how she will receive it...

Opinions?!

If you have issues, they need to be dealt with. MM is a great idea - but if there's still an elephant in the room, how could it help?

It opens up room for a conversaion, no?
Is this strain something that can be worked around or you're just feeling guilty, sad, etc.?

It's something that she doesn't want to discuss. She said at the time that she doesn't want to discuss it further. But the elephant is still in the room.
I'm hoping it will break the ice.
I think the strain can be worked on as two mature adults, but she is intentionally avoiding discussing it
