I'm looking for a gown for an upcoming sibling's wedding. I'm a few months postpartum, probably about a size 8 (maybe a 10 in gowns?) and have almost no waist and a stomach pooch. Is there a style of gown that would flatter me? All of the gowns that I'm looking at online look great, of course, on the size 0/2 models that are wearing them, but I can't imagine any of them looking nice on me.
A two-piece gown that would allow for nursing would be best, but I'd manage with a one-piece if necessary.
Links to ideas would be very much appreciated (especially if they're reasonably priced and come from stores that allow for free returns ) but general styles/ideas would also be.
Thanks!

Something that has gathers across your middle is hides the most. A ball skirt and a crossover top would work.

You have to be careful with high waisted. I'm post partum now and find high waisted (below the chest) causes the material to hang over my stomach making it look much bigger and still pregnant.

I am (ahem) somewhat portly.
I found a gown with a long straight jacket that doesn't cling. I find it rather slenderizing.
However if I were nursing I would do more of a long skirt with a straight top and open long jacket.
You might find such separates in the bridal shops. My intenet seems to have sprung a snailiness today so I'm not going to be able to find pix.

I'm a size 8, or even a 6-8 (the skirts that I wear every day are a size 6). I look okay, I think, in regular clothing, but I can't see a gown flattering me very well. Thanks for the site suggestion, but although there are some beautiful gowns on there, the prices are well out of the range that I'd like to spend. I can't justify spending $300+ on a gown that I'll wear for one night!
And thanks to everyone else for your help and suggestions! I like the idea of a ruched style, and I'd love to find a ruched jacket or top to pair with a long skirt. As of yet, I've been unsuccessful at that.
