Outerbanks, NC is amazing. Vermont is also really nice.

I've never been to Montreal, but it's high on my list.

We are heading to the Boston area this summer.

I was also looking at myrtle beach and pigeon forge, Tn but today much driving.
And in mystic , I didn't see any nice and affordable houses on home away. Now I'm looking into cape cod and Boston?
Is there anything different and interesting to do in Boston?

For Boston, we plan to do a bunch of activities around the American Revolutionary War (like the Tea Party ship - I loved that growing up!). We'll probably take in a game at Fenway and they have some great museums. Plimoth Plantation is also on my list, Gloucester for the beach (we aren't going to cape cod), possibly Salem. We are planning to stay at a SpringHill Suites outside of Boston so it's affordable.

I love Pigeon Forge, but it's a faaaaaaar drive.

I would suggest Onset in Cape Cod (that's where the minyan is). It's less than 4 hours from NYC and has tons of family-friendly activities, plus you can combine it with day trips to Boston or Newport if you like. See here for activities info:

We're still open to suggestions!
It looked is like my kids are too young for Boston and there doesn't look like there's much to do in cape cod?
Or is there?

What did you do in cape cod?
And is there enough to to do to fill 4 days?

Did you look at the link I posted? You can go to the free tour of the (kosher) potato chip factory, take the boat ride to Martha's Vineyard and walk around the really pretty cottage houses there, rent bikes for the beautiful bike trails (they also rent tagalongs and baby seats if you need), go whale-watching, go to Plimoth Plantation and Rock, go to Newport, go to a big aircraft carrier nearby, go find a secluded beach and play in the sand and water, go to a lighthouse, candlepin bowling, play mini-golf and do go-carts and bumper boats. That should keep you busy for 4 days!
