Has anyone managed to unlock a phone from Sprint and used it on a different network? The new rules say they have to cooperate. Online forums claim they still make it way too hard to switch networks and I agree.
I am so frustrated by now. Sprint gave me a 6 digit unlock code but when I insert a SIM card from Metro PCS it just says error and no "enter unlock code" screen ever comes up.
It's a galaxy note 3, I confirmed with metropcs phone reps that as long as it's in GSM mode it should be able to work on their network.
Advice? Trying to save money and I'd like to avoid paying someone to do it. If anyone has done this, has a walk through or link to actual instructions (instead of frustrated forums) I'd greatly appreciate it.
