Is it possible to tour Niagara Falls when neither my husband or I drive. We live in Brooklyn so we would take a plane to Buffalo. Are there any means of transportation available from the Buffalo airport to Niagara - maybe a bus or car service and also once we are at Niagara Falls are there car services or bus transportation? How many days could you keep busy there with children?
Thank you

We've done Niagara without a car and it was great. We went without the kids though. Also flew into buffalo. You could take a cab from the airport to Niagara for about $60.
If you are staying near the falls, most attractions are walking distance from there

Niahara is totally doable without a car. We drove down there & once there we didn't use the car at all. Everything is walking distance.

We stayed at embassy suites, beutiful hotel.
We took along all food because there was no kosher food available then. I think now there is a kosher resteraunt.

We also did Niagra without a car. Flew to Boston, took a taxi to hotel, biked, walked, and used the busses. We stayed at the Marriot and the bus stops in front of the hotel. Every major attraction is part of the bus route.

Another vote for Niagara without a car. They have shuttles and everything was within walking distance. We flew to Buffalo...Marriot is nice take a high floor falls view. THere was one kosher dairy restaurant that was pretty expensive...We took food along. Sandwich maker, microwaveable meals double wrapped, BBQ...Ice box in the car...fridge in the room...we stayed for 5 days and had plenty food.
HAVE FUN!!!!!

Thank you,
What did you do there for 5 days? Just curious because I don't see that there are too many attractions there.

The restaurants are centrally located in the Chabad house right next to the Hilton, the four points, the embassy suites, Marriott, Oakes, a block from the Fallsview casino, a ten minute walk to the falls. It doesn't get closer than that. Literally. the list goes on. It's the best real estate in Niagara Falls. If you thought we were expensive, fifteen years ago, my ten dollar breakfast was $25 at a Denny's by the Hilton. Rents are high and restaurants have two months to make their yearly rents. Our prices are in Canadian dollars. So take about a third off the posted price. The food is also excellent.
It's true that the 'we go' bus goes everywhere a tourist would want to go including all the way up lundys lane to the outlet stores and beyond.
With a car, you could also go to Niagara on the lake, the new outlet mall and the welland canal.
If you do come up, let me know where we know each other from!

Is it difficult to drive there? Is that why many people utilize the buses?

Yes, that's me. I was thinking of doing both, Niagara in July and Vermont in August. It seems though, that Vermont is not possible with out a car.
Thank you

started our days late and spent the evenings sitting and relaxing at the falls...so 5 days was perfect. If youre more the go-getter type then you might feel that it's long...

NIagara Falls is THE most doable vacation without a car. We took the Amtrak to the American side and a taxi over the bridge. HOtels/motels abound, and everything is in walking distance. There is a hop on/hop off bus you can take all day long. We did a 2 night stay; there isnt much else to do, you can take in all the sights in 2-3 days.
