ok maybe not as big as Chanukah, but big for me.

My front tooth crown cracked and a big chunk fell of yesterday.
All I did was eat a string bean.
I stayed calm, and tried to put emunah into practice.
Thanked H-Shem, I couldn't understand what was good, but I knew I had to say Gam Zu LeTova.

Today I went to the dentist.
He couldn't believe how it could have cracked.
These things are stronger than an actual tooth.
He asked if I'm sure I didn't fall and hit myself.
He asked maybe something in the past month, six weeks.

Then I remembered back in March I fell really hard outside.
So hard that it broke my glasses.
So hard that a lady saw me from her house, ran outside, across the street, to make sure I was ok. She was about to call Hatzalah.
I was bleeding from my mouth.
When I got home I checked in the mirror and saw that my teeth, 2 front crowns, were ok.
Dentist said it probably fractured and held up till now.
He also commented that it held up a very unusual long time.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

1. Miracle

H-Shem in his infinite wisdom, kindness and mercy allowed the tooth to stay on until I had time to get it fixed.
March- birth of my grandson I was helping my daughter, in NY, I live OOT.
April-Pesach added to everything else is busy enough.
May-Trip to Israel
May/June-Working trip
June- Shavuot
Next week I have another working trip
If it would have happened any other time, I would have been too stressed to handle it.
Also there were many social opportunities, I would've been really embarrassed.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

2. Miracle.
The tooth stump under the crown did not crack.
If the fall was so hard that it cracked the crown, it should have also cracked the tooth stump.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

3. Miracle
It cost less than what I thought it was going to cost.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

4. Miracle
The other front crown did not get damaged.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

5. Miracle
The dentist was able to fix it quickly. 11/2 hours I was in and out of the office.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

6. Next week the dentist is going on vacation.

THANK YOU H-Shem

7. It was all pretty much painless.

THANK YOU H-SHEM

If you have any THANK YOU H-SHEM moments you want to share, please do so.

These things happen all the time but usually we don't see them. Thank you for seeing the miracles and shining a light on them for all if us to see.

I have a similar type of miracle with a tooth story. I had a root canal in high school and a temporary crown put on. Temporary means should be replaced with a permanent crown, right? Well, my parents moved a couple of months later and somehow forgot about it and I didn't actually know that it needed any more work done. They also (and trust me, this is totally like them) only took me to a dentist once or twice (who never mentioned anything about it, at least to me) in our new location before I went to seminary, went to college a couple of years and got married. During all this time, my temporary crown and what was left of my molar hung in there.

So, I'm 21, I'm married, and now I'm responsible and set up a dentist appointment for myself. I'm pregnant by this time. I'm told that I have some serious work ahead for me! I have wisdom teeth to take out and a crown to put on after that. Another year or so to wait for it.

The morning of the day that I'm going to get my permanent crown put on, about 6 years after my root canal, is the day the temporary crown broke, along with part of the tooth. It didn't affect putting on the real crown.

How do you like that?
