So we decided to move to Monsey area.
I would like to know more about the lubavich community, where most of the community lives, how many lubavich shuls there are and where are they.
does the community get together?
Is there a nshei chabad?
Easy to integrate and make friends?
We have small children.
Where would I start looking/understanding the housing market, (looking to buy) and who we can speak to about the real estate in the area. We want a new home/construction
Thanks for your input!

On Facebook there is a group New Lubavitch Community where you can get information about potential communities to move to.

There is a Nshei Chabad, there's a big shul in central Monsey (Tzemach Tzedek) and smaller ones in South Monsey and Pomona. The Lubavitch community is pretty spread out, I wouldn't say there's one specific area where they live although there are definitely areas where they don't (in the heart of the Chasidish streets for example).
I don't know how easy integration would be, in my experience you need to find your own little community of friends within the larger Chabad community.
I don't currently live there so maybe someone has better information.
Good luck!

Curious how you made the decision to move there without knowing the answers to these questions.

I would advise renting for the first year at least, while you get to know the community and the area.
