Any ideas for a kid who has concentration and learning difficulties to learn chumish translation?

Stop learning Chumash translation. That's not really learning Chumash (even though schools seem to think it is).
Learn Chumash and learn Lashon Kodesh separately.
Let the child use a Chumash with translation so he/she can focus on the content.
Learn Lashon Kodesh with the rules from Nachman Marcuson's books (The Guide to Lashon Hakodesh) and flash cards with pictures.

Visit Torah4Children.com and check out the Chumash.
It's a highly effective tool for this kind of issue.
