How do I empty the small drip tray (see photo) under my Kenmore side by side 5 year old fridge? That metal piece of wire in front of it, doesnt seem to release.
TIA

there appears to be plenty of room to lift it up & over & out
look at the owner's manual or double check if you weren't being too gentle as that wire probably pulls out & springs back into place

Its very hard to lift. Im thinking I may not be able to get it back in place.

The wire is permanently connected on the left side, and permanently looped into a piece of metal on the right, and is not a flimsy piece of wire.
I had my husband unplug the fridge, I stuck a rag in with a ruler, swished it and got the liquid out, but its still not clean, like I would have liked.
