I've never had a cleaning lady more than once a week. I am now going to have one 3 times a week. 3 hours on Monday, 3 hours on Wednesday & 6 hours on Friday. On Friday I have her clean 2 bathrooms, sweep and mop whole house.. I don't have carpet & just straighten up. What do I have her do the other days... same thing again? What does your cleaning lady do? Let me know. Thanks

If you will be having that much help, you can ask her to help with more things.

Linen
cleaning the fridge
organizing drawers
ironing
polishing silver
laundry
food prep
etc.

Any specific reason why you are hiring help that you don't feel you need?

Clean out the fridge and freezer and wipe down all the shelves every other week.
Help unload groceries and chop vegetables.
Clean out and wipe down the pantry and baking cabinets every few weeks.
Take the garbage cans outside and clean them very well so they smell fresh.
Organize kids' drawers and closet if necessary.
Polish silver.
Clean drain in kitchen sinks.
Clean shower drains.
Clean behind and under the couch once a week.
Clean light fixtures every few weeks (dust and bugs can get in there).
Wipe down microwave and toaster.

My housekeeper is an amazing women whom we trust with our kids and our home. These are the things would probably never get done if not for her.

She probably does need the help if she's getting more hours...Maybe she is unsure what is okay to ask a housekeeper to help with, or she's making a cleaning schedule now and drawing a blank.

Seriously?? I'm looking high and low for cleaning help. I can't find someone available in my area. Meanwhile I rub my floors and bathrooms whenever time allows me or they just stay dirty. Send her here now.

I know what it is to not find a cleaning lady. I was home for months without one AND my daughter without a school as I didn't want to send her to a community school. I was constantly cleaning up. Then... I wasn't. Then BH I found a cleaning lady. Still OP is allowed to her cleaning lady even if not everyone finds.
