When checking vegetables with the "light", how do you distinguish between a speck of dirt OR a natural discoloration on the flesh of the vegetable (like humans have blackheads, etc.) and a "bug"? How do you know for certain you are looking at a BUG?
What makes a dot, for certain a BUG?
After all, vegetables do grow in the ground and are also prone to imperfections.

hm ... get a magnifying glass and notice the feet ...  and try not to be too shocked ... clean them well ...

I guess by the time your done they will have gotten a bath and have clean feet
