There is a difference between having a crush (regardless of gender) and having obsessive thoughts and fantasies to the point where they interfere with schoolwork. If the girl is asking for help, there is much go gain and little to lose by seeking it. There are many wonderful therapists who deal with adolescents. I suggest she go to one who also understands codependence and addiction, since what works for emotional issues does not always work when addictive thinking is involved.

Op do you know the family? Do you think she's at risk for a pregnancy? Was she passionate when she spoke about that crush?
