Ok I logged the food on fit day.
I must had made a mistake the first time.
It came out to about 1700 cal.
That does sound better, but at these calories will I lose weight?
I don't want to turn around 2 weeks into the program and see that I gained another10lbs.

Bump for advise
Maybe someone can write what they eat in a day.
Once I have a basic menu I'm ok for a while.

Two handfuls of nuts
Several slices of cheese
coffee w cream as much as I want all day
dinner can be: chicken w broccoli, salmon w salad, omelete with zuccini- whatever. berries for dessert or whipped cream homemade or cheesecake homemade
I lose more when I skip dinner and eat all that for lunch instead.
I don't count calories, or really carbs anymore. Just eat pretty low carb foods. You can buy Lily's chocolate it is very very low carb and tastes the best

I really want to do a ketogenic diet, because I realized that carbs aggregate my arthritis. A little bit of challah and right away I have pain in my knees, makes it hard to walk. If I eat cholent, forget about it I can hardly move.
The problem I'm having on myfitnesspal is that it doesn't give me the percentage of macros, and it only has total carbs, not net carbs, unless I don't know how to use the program. |
Are you sure you don't have a gluten allergy? When I gave up gluten for completely different reasons my arthritis resolved. I had no idea it was related.
(Amother because I tell everyone irl this)

Is this what you eat ALL day?
Or do you also have a breakfast and eat the nuts and cheese in between.
It seems like very little food to me.
I'm scared of nuts, since I would probably binge on them
Also, what size protein for dinner.

Beans and potatoes, I.e. cholent, or just a bean soup, with no gluten, is the worse for me. The pain is really bad.

Ok, it was just a thought. The gluten in the barley in the Chulent was really bad for me and I had no idea!

You might want to look into the nightshade-free diet for arthritis as well. Not discouraging you from keto but many people have good results.
I'm with you on the nuts, I always find I eat too many.

I eat a lot of peppers and eggplant, and never had a reaction . It only happens if I eat more than 1/2 a pita, or too much rice, beans or potatoes are the worse.

You probably need to be really low carb then. I've been doing that for a while.
Just make sure you don't eat too little; if you're starving, it's bound to backfire.
