Out last vacation without kids was over ten years ago!
We have 2 nights and 2.5 days in a hotel near NYC next week. What can we do???? I do NOT want a repeat of the vacations early in our marriage where DH mostly napped and then we discussed what to do for hours until it was too late to do anything. I want everything planned in advance.
Are there any Broadway shows playing that don't have women singing? Any other types of shoes??
Are there bikes we can rent and ride near the water?
If it's raining or terribly hot, what can we do that's indoors? DH won't appreciate most museums like art or history. Possibly a Holocaust museum. Is there a new one in Brooklyn?
What else can we do? We both grew up near NYC so a double decker tour bus wouldn't be interesting.
Are there Botanical gardens in NYC, and is any part of it indoors?
Any and all ideas welcome! Thank you!!!

For a show, check out Stomp (never saw it, but shouldn't have Kol Isha issues). For bikes, we love Governor's Island. Indoors there's Gulliver's Gate (a must!), the 9/11 Museum, Math Museum, top of Freedom Tower/Empire State Building/Rockefeller Center. Check out Bronx Botanical Garden with Chihuly exhibit currently running.

Thank you. Is Stomp really uncomfortably loud?

I saw it 10 years ago and yeah it really is loud, but lots of people like it. I wouldn't see it again.

Highly, highly reccomend going to the UNCOMMONS
Its a board game cafe and you are able to play any games for an amount of time for under 10$ (sometimes 5$)
because it is a hipster place you are allowed to bring your own food - great for a date night!!!

The new York experience for indoor activity. Didn't get such good reviews, but we liked it.
