Crickets in the house are supposed to be good luck. It's only a folk belief, of course, but they aren't dangerous and I don't try to kill them. If you happen to see one, you can try to help it find its way outside. I find they usually leave on their own.

We were originally convinced they were roaches but the guy who does work around the house inspected and said they are crickets...I wouldnt know the difference all I know is motzei shabbos we had 4 of them in the house

I have them too. They come in through the front door when people come in/out. My husband gets rid of them for me.

So these, and the ones references above that hide and make noise, are not the same type of cricket that it appears OP is referring to. These are house crickets, and OP has cave or camel crickets. Camel crickets don't have wings and don't make noise. They come out at night and tend to migrate inside houses in September. They are also called spider crickets or "sprickets" because of their extra long legs. They're not really dangerous or harmful but they're huge and so annoying!

We live in Israel and when we first moved into our house it was infested with crickets, I.e. they had made nests within the door frames. They were extremely loud and would wake us u at night. If it is just a few coming into the house I wouldn't worry, but if they are nesting by you then you want to take care of it ASAP.

They have wings jump and run really fast...I don't care what they are called they are annoying and I sure hope they are not nesting anywhere
