Looking for the lyrics of a beautiful song in yiddish I hard last approximately 25 years ago.
The song talks about the first erev shabbos in the world when adam harishon sang mizmor shir leyom hashabbos
I only remember certain lines
אדם הראשון שטייט איינער אליין"
ער קוקט און ער קען נישט פארשטיין
א הייליגע ליכטיגקייט האט ער געזעהן
ער ווייסט נישט וואס דא איז געשעהן..."
would appreciate if anyone can post the rest!

It's called vayechili. I think it was a R' Yom Tov Ehrlich song. MBD sings it on the yiddish collection. I don't have the lyrics off hand but they might be in the books about YTE or in those zemiros for kids that have yiddish songs at the end. Good luck

Do you know which tape it's in? Because I have the Shabbos one, but I don't remember...
Edit - Yes, I think it is in the Shabbos one. Do you want me to write down the lyrics?

It is in YTE Shabbos tape as well as in MBD Shabbos tape. And someone mentioned in MBD Yiddish collection. And I think Zisha Schmeltzer had it too in one of his tapes.
You can find the lyrics in the YTE books. I might b able to take a puncture and post it later if you don't get it b4
