I had a friend at Jewish scouts called Sivan as Jewish name.

Esther would be a good name for a girl born in Tammuz, but you'd have to know the Babylonian pantheon to understand why.

I'm not following. Why Esther? All I found up when I looked up Babylonian deities, is that Tammuz is the god of food and vegetation.
So why Esther?

"Dumuzid[a] later known by the corrupted name Tammuz,[b] was the ancient Mesopotamian god of shepherds, who was also the primary consort of the goddess Inanna (later known as Ishtar). In Sumerian myth, Dumuzid's sister was Geshtinanna, the goddess of vegetation.
