Esther would be a good name for a girl born in Tammuz, but you'd have to know the Babylonian pantheon to understand why.

I'm not following. Why Esther? All I found up when I looked up Babylonian deities, is that Tammuz is the god of food and vegetation.
So why Esther?

Look at his consort, and what she was later known as.

Got it.
"Dumuzid[a] later known by the corrupted name Tammuz,[b] was the ancient Mesopotamian god of shepherds, who was also the primary consort of the goddess Inanna (later known as Ishtar). In Sumerian myth, Dumuzid's sister was Geshtinanna, the goddess of vegetation. In the Sumerian King List, Dumuzid is listed as an antediluvian king of the city of Bad-tibira and also an early king of the city of Uruk."
Impressed with your general knowledge and your creativity!
I'm not sure OP would want such idolatrous connotations though.
