I was listening on the radio that the votes really dont matter because they are going to go to some type of court and they will discuss who should be preisdent

sorry to sound so pessimistic, but not in NY. 99% that NY electoral college will vote democrat, so it doesn't really matter here. it's border states as PA, Ohio and some others that matter.

It always matters. You have no opinion, no voice if you don't vote. Even if you think your vote won't count- go make it count! VOTE! The radio is saying NY is close. GO VOTE!!!!!

proudmom... no. the president is decided based on the electoral college. Each state based on its population gets so many votes in the electoral college. PA has something like 27 or close to it. CA I know has 55. In order for a canidate to win they must get 273 electoral votes. You win the pop vote in the state- you get the electoral votes for the state. However if nobody gets 273 electoral votes than the congress will pick the president and the senate will pick the VP. The courts don't pick anything. The courts will only come into account if there is voter fraud and someone files a suit.

PLEASE PEOPLE... VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way... thats what michael moore and kerry want you to believe, that your votes don't count. Its better for them.

I voted for more than just the president. About whether the cross should be allowed to stay on public property, about stem cells research, about mayor, a city dump, etc. Many things.

No clue if my vote helped or not, but I was #13 in my polling booth today.

it was 58% (Kerry) against 40% in NY. democrats always win in NY, so it REALLY doesn't matter much what I voted for (ye-ye, I had my opinion counted and exercosed my right, but the bottom line is the same! - talking about NY only).

I was curious to see how it works, it was my first election Very Happy
