I always felt my grammar was lousy. It actually is not that great, but not as bad as I think. Actually it’s much better than I thought because every time I come to the states, I cringe!! So many people have terrible grammar and they live in an English speaking country. I guess it’s like a Spanish teacher I had once. She said that this is the correct of saying this, but most people say it wrong. What is wrong???

There's formal correct and proper English, and then there's informal conversational dialect English. I tell my students that I teach them proper grammar, and they can choose to do what's popular or what's right...
