So this year is the first time we're going to be eating some meals at home during pesach.in addition I moved to a new house so I have to rearrange my pesach arrangements in the kitchen ( no pesach kitchen of course) .
My question is what are the basics that I need to buy to be able to cook the basic pesach foods? And what items do I need to have separate for pesach?
I have some idea but want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.
P.s. my father is over 60 so I have a fear that we might not even go to the Seder this year... Maybe I'll have to do a Seder at home?! I'm not sure how this can work , my kids are still very little.

Pesach doesn't need to be overwhelming.

Get matzoh, wine, all things needed for seder plate.

Think about a simple pesachdik meal and all the ingredients needed to make it; think about what pots and pans and utensils you need to cook it. Buy nice disposable dishes and flatware (or kasher a set of flatware for Pesach).

Keep in mind you may not want to buy things that need to be toveled.

Out of all the y"t, I enjoy making pesach the most! And I'm not even married very long, plus I have little kiddos!

It helps a ton when you make a menu, and shop based off of that. By every single ingredient you would need to fulfill said menu, PLUS every utensil used in the process.

And don't forget an urn and blender

Can someone list exactly what is needed for the Seder? I’ve made second days pesach before, but am feeling overwhelmed with what needs to be done for the Seder.

Salt water. Not very complicated but you need salt and water Smile
Are you allowed to make it up on yom tov? Probably, so it doesn't even matter if you forget beforehand.

I don’t know what to tell you. I guess you can tovel in a lake maybe? Is that safe?

I find a food processor essential. I think like I do that for so many things like soups, dips, charoses, potato kugel. I don't think we need an expensive one but for me it makes a huge difference in making it's easier to cook.

If you end up toiveling
USE GLOVES AND A MASK
WASH EVERYTHING IN THE DISHWASHER
AT THE HIGHEST TEMP
and if it was me I would shower and wash my clothes as soon as I got home

(This only works if you have a pesach dishwasher)
