I'm looking urgently for a top eye doctor for adults. If he accepts medicaid or fidelis then that's a plus.
Any recommendations?
I'm located in Monsey area but would travel to Brooklyn or Manhattan too.

What type of eye doctor are you looking for? What are you concerned about?

I would recommend an Optometrist over an Opthalmologist, because Optometrist spend more times dealing with lens fittings and glasses than Opthalmologist.

Is he really top? Do you know many who were happy with the glasses and lenses he prescribed?

What kind of an unusual case is it?
My friend works for an eye doctor so I could ask her.

I've, bh, seen major success with Dr. Jeffrey Rubin in Nanuet. He doesn't take fidelis/medicaid.
I have family members who've also seen a huge difference once they switched over.

I have heard good things about Dr. Ollech. I believe Dr. Hammer is a low vision specialist. Masha Lewin is good too, very sweet and has a lot of patience.

Please not Dr Moskowits, I have a hard time with lenses, difficult prescription, positive in one eye, negative in the other eye, astigmatism etc and he was not able to fit me properly, I went back 3 times for different prescriptions but it never worked properly. I wouldn't recommend him for difficult cases
