Should I bake it covered or uncovered? For how long? At one temperature? How do I know when it's done? Thanks!

In my toaster oven I broil salmon uncovered for exactly 25 minutes. Comes out perfectly each time and I serve it immediately.

Preheat oven to 400. Bake salmon fillet slices uncovered for 18 minutes. Enjoy!

400 in oven uncovered. Individual fillets, about 15mins. For a whole side, closer to 25min

I feel like I do it longer. raw salmon grosses me out!
I usually do it on 375 or 400 depends on whether I want it more grilled or more baked. I do it covered for the first 15 mins and then uncovered for another 15/20 minutes! comes out yum!

I let it cook in oven as it preheats and start with it covered and then uncover for the last 5-10 minutes

I think the length of time depends on the size of the salmon steak or fillet. If I am serving large pieces of salmon as a main dish and only broil for 15 or 20 minutes, the inside is still raw. If I broil it for 25 minutes a crust forms, it's totally cooked and is absolutely delicious.
Also, I think each individual oven heats up differently so cooking time will vary. OP, I hope you find a temperature and cooking time that works for you. Enjoy!

I cook uncovered like others on high about 20 min. I cover it tight as soon as I take it out so the steam stays in and keeps it moist. I do this when I make it Friday and then serve Fri night

I think people like their fish differently. I like it moist and medium rare. I think a lot of frum people like it well done which I find to be too dry. I can’t give a time because depends on size of piece and thickness

I think our ovens are different. If I broiled anything for 25 minutes it would be a piece of charred garbage
