We have a large collection of seashells. I was thinking of using them to decorate some gardening pots for planting things in. Or maybe to fill a decorative jar or something? Then I wondered that maybe you shouldn't use the shells because shellfish aren't kosher? Or maybe because they are from animals they are supposed to be buried?
Anyone ever asked about this?

Not a problem, as long as you are sure no one is going to try to them.
My rabbi said you can even use a pigskin football to play with, or own an alligator purse.
