Trying to figure out how to attach gloves to a coat. What’s the best and easiest way to do it?

They make clips expressly for this purpose

Search for mitten clips on Amazon and you'll get lots of options. If you live near amazing savings they have them too for about $2 a pair.

From experience, sew each glove to each end of a long piece of elastic and thread it thru both sleeves from the inside of the coat. Best is to put the elastic thru the coat to measure how long you need before sewing it.
The clips always get lost and I prefer not to sew gloves directly to the coat

I’ve tried the clips but they keep falling off. I have to try sewing. It’s just one long piece of elastic?

Yes, one long piece. If you lay the coat down flat, feed the elastic thru each hand. I've never had a pair of gloves get lost.
I also sew a piece of elastic on hats , I double the elastic making a loop. Then I thread it thru the hook inside the coat and pull the hat thru the elastic loop.

I dont like clips, I prefer an elastic.
I always sew the inside of the glove onto an elastic.if its too long the elastic, it can be knotted..
Thanks for reminding me, I need to do it too, since my kids got new coats this year.

I like sewing a piece of elastic onto the glove, and then the other side of the elastic I sew onto the sleeve.
When I have time, I sew one piece of elastic to the coat, the other side to this type of mini clip, and then use another small piece of elastic to the other end of the clip, and then to the coat. Like this it's secure and I can still remove the gloves to wash separately.

I do it by hand but I make sure to go over it a few times so it doesn't tear or detach.
