How long did your child’s diarrhea last for with a stomach bug?
I feel like this is going on forever...

My child recently had it. The doctor said it's going around now and with the current strain, I could expect it to last for up to 7 days.

It’s lasting a lot longer than that already...

Sometimes probiotics are helpful, or there could be things like potassium/magnesium that are out of balance. Or just sticking to bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast.....

My entire family got a really nasty stomach bug 6 months ago. After recovering, I began to have horrible diarrhea, which lasted 3 or so weeks. I started taking a strong probiotic and things got better in a few days bH.
Good quality probiotics are not cheap, but they’re well worth a try. Refuah Shleimah!

Probiotics. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend which and how much, you want to be careful with a child. Good quality yogurts contain probiotics but best if you give the child the plain unflavored and some kids won’t eat that. You can buy probiotic capsules. If they’re the type that it’s okay to open (ask, make sure) there’s a tasteless powder inside that you can sprinkle on a little cooked white rice or applesauce. The child won’t even notice and it should take care of the problem within a couple of days.
