I find it's easir to cook beets, potatos, eggs, etc., in their shells, keep them in the fridge that way, then peel them as I need them.

I thought that for pesach the vegetables have to be peeled before boiling.

Only with eggs, of course they have to be boiled in their shell.

I know, but did you check with a Lubavitcher Rov that this is the correct thing to do on Pesach?

BTW 2 years ago I bought a special peelier for soft veggies and fruits. It makes peeling a tomato a breeze.....

We have inside & outside knives too. I also have a separate egg pot because the eggs are boiled with the shells. I peel everything onto paper towels or the like. I keep my fruit & veg on the porch & when I bring a pile in, I put it in a shopping bag so the fruit/veg that have peels on don't go directly onto the countertop.

I agree with those who have a special pot for cooking veggies with their peels on. I never do it, but what you all do makes sense.

I didn't think it was a question, to be perfectly honest... on the other hand, I rarely boil veggies with the peel on on pesach itself.

sigh. Another prson who's probably not gonna eat by us on pesach....
