Laundry on 17 Tammuz?

Someone said they saw in a sefer you can't do laundry on 17 Tammuz, it's like the Nine Days.
Will try to call a Rov in the morning but wondering who's heard of this? Does it matter that it's a nidcheh?

Don't want to speak ill of a "sefer" but that is an absurd statement with no basis in reality.

I was told by a couple of Rabbis that you are allowed to do laundry on Sunday.

The only issurim today ( other than the standard Three Weeks prohibitions) are eating and drinking. Swimming for pleasure would be less than appropriate though not actually forbidden. Laundry is definitely permitted.

Hey thanks.not op but felt uncomfortable putting in a load this morning. Kids had no cloths to wear ... Ki da did same mistake last year. Older kids in camp hamper doesn't fill as quickly. I dont chap it's loundry time
