I have a 17 year old daughter with special needs and her afterschool program that she has attended for a number of years just closed down for next year. She is pretty low functioning and would need a 1:1 support. She is approved for ABA hours so if it helps the program an ABA para can come service her at the program. We are in Brooklyn. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can apply for her?
Here are some places I have tried:
Hamaspik - she is too low functioning for them
The Center - she is too low functioning for them
Pesach Tikva - a maybe, so far my only hope
Yaldeinu- the hours don’t really work for us and they might not have transportation to our area, so I guess that’s a no
Anywhere else I can apply in case Pesach Tikva doesn’t work out?
Thanks!

I think hand in hand has a program. This is so hard. I am keeping my daughter home with an aide this year because I can’t find a suitable program.

Thanks for responding Aqua!
Hand in hand is the program where she has been and that’s the one that now closed…
