Did you stop buying tomatoes? Are you worried from the selomela outbreak?

I just heard about this at work, but haven't read anything. I heard the cherry tomatoes and maybe grape tomatoes were ok, but nothing else?

Yes, but I have an advantage. Tomatoes (, funny it's not tomato sauce or pizza sauce which) make me nauseas (I'm expecting, bli ayin hara ).

Cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes and those still attached to the vine are fine.

Congrats Shalshelet.
I love tomatoes. I have like ten good hard beef tomatoes in my fridge. Do I throw it away?

My favorite tomatoes are the ones my mother brings me from Costco. Still on the vine, always tasty, deep red and sweet, even in Winter.

The only similar ones in my neighborhood are the Holland tomatoes, and it's a choice between them and paying my kid's tuition. To a fruit and vegetable lover, a tough choice.

I prefer roma tomatoes ... but dd likes the ones on the vine ... I mostly buy the grape tomatoes though - this way I don't have to cut up a whole tomatoe ... I guess I'm that lazy ...
and I agree that lately the tomatoes don't look too good ... but salad is not salad w/o them ...

Don't throw them out - It's like eggs, as long as you cook them you're safe. Keep them isolated from other foods in the fridge, like you keep eggs.

Thanks Flowerpower for your congrads. Although, I must confess that the cherry tomatoes are eye appealing, but I don't know if my stomach will take it yet.

yes, I certainly wish I could afford them more than we are actually able.
I have fond memories of a "mater sandwich" consisting of bread, mayo, fresh juicy red tomatoes, salt and pepper. you could say the summer sunshine.
