When I was growing up, once a year we went to eat out as reward bedikas chometz night, my uncle used to come pick us up and drive us to Kosher Delight in Manhattan, along with his family, even though there was Pesach food available already. It was our treat and highlight.

The weather was so beautiful today that I actually took a lunch break from work (at home) and went out to a nearby pond to eat a bagel. The pond is not in a frum part of town. While I was on a call with work, I noticed a family coming by and leaning over the pond. I thought they were looking at the ducks. Then, I realized they were pulling out frying pans and grills to tovel!!

Just sent my daughter into Gourmet Glatt to brave the crowds and find *something* for dinner. Not sure what she’ll find, but hopefully something edible that I don’t have to cook.

We had pesach takeout. Schnitzel and grilled chicken were very good. I wish I had their schnitzel recipe.

We go out for a nice meal after bedikas chametz. It's a way to thank everyone for all their help (and for eating everything in the freezer the last few weeks!), and a time to just sit calmly with the family. It's become a wonderful bonding experience. I'm so grateful we can do it.
