Curious (and pining to visit EY!!)--
Is there a season when the prices are under $1000 without weird or long (I know those are both subjective) stopovers?
How far in advance of the flights do the tickets go on sale?
Are cheap prices flukes?
How did you find out about them? Dan's deals? Somewhere else?
Please post!

I once paid around 7/800 for a direct flight from NY to Israel through Expedia. That same ticket was more expensive on the airlines’ website.

I have found flights with a short stopver in paris, rome, london in the $500 -$600 range usually in the winter
In the summer, I have found similar flights in the $800 range
I search skyscanner, they have an option that will find you the best dates to fly

This past Chanukah we went the whole family.
Dans deals had $495 tickets direct with AA. We had two bookings because we were too many people. By the time the booked the second booking it was already close to $600

OP, when schools are off prices are higher as people want to travel.
Jewish holidays, especially Pesach and succot=peak season so you pay a pretty penny.

I searched that site and it seems to have the same features that all similar sites have.
I do not see the feature which finds you the best dates for cheap fares.
Can you please tell me where to find it? Thanks!

I once got tickets for $750, directly on Elal’s website on Thanksgiving day or Black Friday. Tickets were for mid January, I think the week before yeshiva vacation week when prices jump up.
