My sister is going to poland with a group, and they have an option to go with security to family sites. We are trying to figure out which shtetel my great-grandmother came from and if the beis hakvaros is still around for her to visit the family kvarim that we have photos of and if we can figure out where they where killed (what camp ect)

We know the name of the shtetel was Rakow - but there are 3 of them in Poland.

We also know that the Moditz Rebbe lived in the shtetel at some point before the war. I cant find anything on google but I am wondering if anyone would know which shtetel it was or what the other places he lived in where so we can try to use that for further research.

Have you tried reaching out to any of the current Rebbes for this community to ask them for help? They would surely be able to put you in touch with someone who would know the history of one of their former Rebbes.

Additionally, I don't know if any of these would help you, but sometimes whoever posted the Geni or Ancestry pages can answer additional questions about people on the family tree =
