My kid came home with Shigella because of people not asking questions like this. I had a newborn. I was not pleased.

My first thought was NO. Thinking into it a little more, where is the MRSA upto? Open wounds, even closed, can you still see it? If it's completely gone probably OK but if not then NO.

Oh please! That's crazy. Shigella is highly highly contagious.

Ask a doctor. But pools are loaded with chlorine so possibly fine?

I think it was 2015 that Shigella spread though like 4 or 5 states because of frum people visiting relatives in the summer. The health department got involved and everything. My kid got it at camp and I had a newborn and health officials breathing down my neck for the name of the daycamp. BH for frum pediatricians who told them no one would talk to them if they did that.

She definitely wasn't swimming.

Swimming pool owner/ aquatics manager here: only if all the open wounds are healed. It can spread by direct contact, or in the locker rooms, etc.
