Has anyone been to Playa Del Carmen? Looking for recommendations about activities and food.

We are staying at the Grand Hyatt which has the Grill-has anyone been there? Do they have a mashgiach temidi? It’s so hard to verify kashrus validity with these small hechsherim. Did anyone have info about the kashrus of the restaurants there and in Cozumel?

Also would love to know any tips for activities in Playa and Cozumel and any other inside info or tips.

(It will be my DH and me going iyh)

Thanks! Just saw that video yesterday which made me feel better about it. I just don’t get how to know for sure when it’s not in the US or on CRC’s list.

I'm related to someone in that video ;-)
And the website lists the rav of the hashgacha and discusses the mashgiach temidi, so you can contact him directly.

You can also call the CRC now that you know the hashgachas name and the ravs name.

Ok thank you. I was a little disappointed that the video “showed” other kosher restaurants in the area but didn’t actually show them. Though I realize this was a paid ad for Hyatt/the Grill.

Anyone have favorite restaurants or dishes they highly recommend from the kosher options in playa and Cozumel?

You can also call the CRC now that you know the hashgachas name and the ravs name and ask them directly about it.

We ate by chabad in their restaurant.

Activity was biking, swimming on the roof (our private suite/house), boat riding the lake with a tour guide, and visiting the shops in the city.
