It's very easy to get scholarship reductions in Baltimore. We have a six figure income and pay $5-6,000 base tuition (reduced of course).

This is only true for either a large family or a family with high expenses. We applied and we’re told no. We had low six figures at the time.

And this is why I moved to westgate. People like to make fun but at the end of the day I have plenty of space and am fairly close to everything BH.

Bought or to rent?
I rent in westgate and wish I could move to a house. I have tons of space but tons of steps, and no personal space outside…..

And now it’s even harder to find a house cuz we’re used to 2400 sf…….

What area? And remember, tuition is at least 10,000 a year for every child. Including kindergarten. It might be cheaper to stay where you are.

Ok…
Here’s a house in park heights, reduced to 599
https://www.zillow.com/homedet.....zpid/
1500 square foot in Greenspring for 685
https://www.zillow.com/homedet.....zpid/
A condo on Clark’s pending for 335
https://www.zillow.com/homedet.....zpid/
Semi sold 3 months ago for 345 and can go for more now
https://www.zillow.com/homedet.....zpid/
(And I thought semis in Greenspring were expensive, this is in park heights up by the plaza!!!)
Houses may be more in Lakewood but they’re plenty expensive here!!
And I haven’t looked for regular sized houses. I’m still shocked at the 1500 square foot one for 685.

The for 599 is very overpriced. Only someone from out of Baltimore will pay that price. They had an offer that pulled out--and the offer was from someone out of Baltimore that doesn't know the city or it's pricing.
The condo on clarks is a fancy building. It's also huge--over 2600 square feet. That's bigger than a starter house!
Neither of them are the norms!

I know a 2 people who are about to close on a house in the park heighs area and both are paying way under these prices.
Zillow is not always the best place to look. Most houses sell before they even go on the market!

I bought my house 7 years ago for 220K. It's value is about 350k now according to zillow.
