The techs and hygienists at the dentist told my child to open grois (big) in my very Yiddish speaking neighborhood.
They thru in a bunch of other Yiddish words while getting them to cooper with the x-rays.
They happily oblige when asked to put in uncle moishy on the screen.

A hispanic co-worker regularly asks me if I know what parsha we are up to. I started making sure to check so I didn't feel embarrassed that he knew and I didn't. (He and his wife listen to a parsha shiur in spanish).

My neighbors know that if they get a knock on their door on shabbos (as opposed to a ringing bell) that one of us needs a shabbos [gentile].

My son was signing a lease for an apartment and told the landlord that he needed to nail something to the doorposts. The landlord responded-you mean a mezuzah?
