You can buy containers and make a place for everything so when taking stuff out and putting back it will always be in the same place

This. Pare, purge, repeat. Nothing you can buy will keep your house neat if you have too much stuff.
If I were a consultant, my first word of advice, for which I would charge $100, would be "get rid of 75% of your children's toys." But I'll tell you for free. Now take the $100 you saved on my fee and the $250 you saved on plastic bins and other gadgets and give it to a worthwhile charity.
(Get rid of 75% of your toys, too.)

Get rid of stuff, clutter every so often.
Schedule a clothes donation Pick purple picks up bags of clothes after every season.
Only save the really good stuff that's worthwhile

Interesting. I really wouldn’t get rid of my toys.

No, you'd probably get rid of your DH toys. But don't pin it on me, because I didn't tell you to do that. I told you to get rid of yours and the kids'. And not all of it, just 75% of it. Tell your DH to get rid of 75% of his toys*, but don't do it yourself. People get very touchy when you unilaterally get rid of their junk stuff.
*unless he happens to be a minimalist who really doesn't have much stuff

Robot vacuum!
I spend a minute or two cleaning up for it each evening (or telling the kids: Put that away or Robot will eat it later!) and it runs at 2:30 every night!

Funny this was my exact reaction before I read your post. But it did take me years to learn.

This! Declutter until your house stops giving you anxiety. But it takes time to figure out and be okay parting with your stuff.
I recommend watching decluttering videos on YouTube.

A toy chest for the playroom toys that were too big for the toy bins.
Sports equipment organizer.

And yeah the decluttering thing. I have trouble with that though….and lack the time to really do it properly.

I got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.....title for our small games. Which are themselves helpful, ive found that some come in smaller versions. Ive heard people rebox board games as often they are half empty boxes.
Put cds or video games if you still have in d cases and ditch the cases they came in.
Double command hooks behind closet doors
Bins for shopping bags
Collapsible laundry baskets that slide under or behind beds
Suitcases that nest
If you get boxes with wipes, use for kids underwear and socks
If you have deep shelves, get long flat bins or cookie sheets to keep in them so you can pull everything out when you need stuff from the back
I like these for cube storage bec you can see what is in them https://www.amazon.com/your-or.....Fd8Sg

I live in a small apartment with 2 active toddlers. The clutter makes me crazy but I can't just throw away all the toys and things that we actually use
