Who remembers the petrol station on bury old where they are building the new halperns?

🤣
That petrol station was there until quite recently ish. Apparently they're building a halperns there, and a shul, but also keeping the one on Leicester Road? I'm not sure. I don't think they've started building yet.

My father will but I'm not old enough to remember the sweet shop. I remember Grunsfelds fruit and veg shop but that's because they're my relatives and we went in often for treats from my great uncles. They used to write the sums out on brown paper bags, never used a calculator of till!
And also my great uncle had a travel agent there!
The tiniest room /office ever.
