I ordered a custom made dress from china. I paid 80 dollars for it. The dress came and the fit is terrible. It is a midi length velvet dress. I messaged the seller for return information. She responded that shipping back to china is very expensive and would I like to keep the dress and be refunded 40 dollars.
I can't imagine shipping back to china is 40 dollars. I have no use for the dress, tailoring it won't help.
Has any one shipped back to china recently?

It will cost you at least $40 maybe more
USPS around $33 (hard to track). UPS around $67

Wow that's insane! How do they send to us for so cheap? I'll buy a headband on aliexpress for free shipping and 2 dollars. How do they ship for free or so cheaply

The Chinese companies have wholesale deals with the shippers. Also, they ship large quantities together that are then split up at the destination country to go to the individual customers. I am sorry your dress is unusable. I was thinking of ordering an evening gown from AliExpress using custom measurements and having them line the front, back, and sleeves. I figured it might be worth the gamble. At least you are getting $40 back.
