I just found an unopened container of baking powder that expired last June. WWYD - think it’s safe and work work to use in baking, or should I just toss it?

It's safe, but it won't work so well.
It isn't expensive, so I'd just get rid of it.

I would use it for cleaning (same as baking soda) instead of just tossing

I'm still using a container of baking powder with an expiration date of 2019 and it's fine. Test yours by adding 1/2 teaspoon to 1/4 cup of boiling water. If it fizzes, it's fine. If not, replace it.
