This is very frustrating for me because I am very sensitive to smells. I am very clean.
I smell a sharp sort of musty smell when I walk into our apartment. Dh thinks I'm nuts. It is so hard for me. I can't locate the source. It's not coming from the bathrooms or the laundry room.
Any advice??
Or any hacks to make the apartment smell clean and fresh? It was completely gutted and renovated 2.5 years ago. No garbage, dirty laundry or anything like that. Ac filters were cleaned 2 weeks ago.
This is going on for a while and driving me crazy.

I would suspect a hidden source of mold or mildew.

Are there professionals that could locate source? (Israel)
How do I go about this?

The way you describe the smell suggests mold somewhere. Can you try to pinpoint where the smell comes from? You wrote it's not the laundry room or bathroom. Can you close the doors between the other rooms for a few hours and then do a room to room sniff search to find which room it is?
Generally, mold loves dark, poorly ventilated or damp areas. Examples are walls behind any furniture, or underneath it. It also can grow under floor coverings other than tiles, like carpet, linoleum or fake parquet. Also around windows or in corners of rooms.
Sometimes, drains of sinks are the culprits.
Before you pay an expensive expert, use your own nose and eyes to search.
