One minute - how do either of these have Hashem's name?

My son is Ariel.
I love Daniel, Rafael, Michoel, Uriel.
Strong, masculine names
I know an Eilora. I think that's unique and pretty.
Eliana, Anael (too Israeli?), Liel is too popular now for my taste.

It's unnecessary to put a hyphen in Hashem. Hashem is already a substitute for G-d's name.

Rivka doesn't AFAIK. Chaya sort of does, but it's not intentional. A pet peeve of mine when it's hyphenated. Or with a slash.

With girls' names- not a boy's name that is changed to a girl's- my DH doesn't like those types of names.
Thanks! |

As I was told by a rav, the origin is Alef-Lamed ,plus hei.
And so as not to say shem HaShem we replace alef with kuf, kuf specifically for kedusha.
So you get a kuf-lamed-hei

Do you know the origin for this? I like the name and was very curious about the meaning. The meaning of crown/laurel didn't speak to me at all.

No idea; that’s what a rabbi told me when I asked about this name for my dd.
